Verses 1-6 – Think about how many times we have read verse 1 and never thought to look up the names of each person. The phrase, “See, I have called by name,” is trying to get us to  focus our attention on their names. It is almost as if YHVH is saying, “I will give you a clue…”

• H221 – אוּרי – ‘ûrı̂y – BDB Definition: Uri = “fiery”

• H3063 – יְהוּדָה – yehûdâh – yeh-hoo-daw’ – From H3034; celebrated; praised

Verse 1 – The first thing we must look at is the role of Mosheh: Mat_8:4 And יהושע said to him, “See, mention it to no one. But go your way, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Mosheh commanded, as a witness to them.”

Mat_19:7 They said to Him, “Why then did Mosheh command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?”

Mat_22:24 saying, “Teacher, Mosheh said that if anyone should die, having no children, his brother shall marry his wife and raise offspring for his brother.

Mat_23:2 saying, “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on the seat of Mosheh.

Act_15:21 “For from ancient generations Mosheh has, in every city, those proclaiming him – being read in the congregations every Sabbath.”

Rom_10:19 But I ask, Did Yisra’ěl not know? First Mosheh says, “I shall provoke you to jealousy by those who are not a nation, I shall enrage you by an unwise nation.”

Verse 1 – Put verse 1 in the context Mosheh = Torah and what you have is that Torah brought the people out of the land of Mitsrayim, the land of bondage. He took us out of the land of bondage, Mitrrayim, Egypt, Babylon and brought into the Wilderness, to teach us and train us so that now He can bring us to the Land of our inheritance. Without learning to walk in His Way, the Torah of Freedom, we are just an undisciplined mob, some going one way and others another: Jas_1:25 But he that looked into the perfect Torah, that of freedom, and continues in it, not becoming a hearer that forgets, but a doer of work, this one shall be blessed in his doing of the Torah.

Jas_2:12 So speak and so do as those who are to be judged by a Torah of freedom.

Verse 1 – I don’t know about anyone else but, I can identify with verse 1. Dad would tell me, “Son, I’ll show you how to do it the first time, but after that you’ll have to do it for yourself.” Sometimes I would get it right the first time but sometimes I would make a mistake and have to start over. I feel like YHVH was teaching Mosheh the same lesson my Dad tried to teach me, you’ll remember and appreciate it more if you have to do it on your own:  Pro 3:3 Let not loving-commitment and truth forsake you – Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart,

Pro 3:4 Thus finding favour and good insight In the eyes of Elohim and man.

Pro 7:2 Guard my commands and live, And my Torah as the apple of your eye.

Pro 7:3 Bind them on your fingers; Write them on the tablet of your heart.

Verse 1 – “And (He)Moshe assembled” וַיַקְהֵל ((And he assembled)) the root word being qahal. In the LXX we see the word συναθροίζω – G4867 – sunathroizō used as a helping verb meaning to “call out or called out” and the word for congregation is συναγωγή – G4864 – sunagōgē – synogogue congregation or assembly used in this instance for assembly or congregation. Another Greek word often used to mean congregation or assembly is ἐκκλησία – G1577 – ekklēsia – “a calling out or a meeting”. Qahal and ekklesia both represent the Bride and do not mean a building whereas sunagoge can mean a building.

Verse 1-4 – Betsa’el son of Uri, son of Hur from the tribe of Judah = the one in the Shadow of El, who is my light, who is absolutely white, is to be praised!

Mar_9:3 And His garments became glittering, exceedingly white, like snow, such as no launderer on earth is able to whiten.

And, Oholiab, son of Ahisamak, from the tribe of Dan = In my Father’s Tent, which my Brother has supported, and He is the Judge.

Joh 14:2 “In My Father’s house are many staying places. And if not, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

Pro 24:3 By wisdom a house is built, And by understanding it is established;

Pro 24:4 And by knowledge the rooms are filled With all precious and pleasant riches.

Verses 1-7 – We have studied the bronze slaughter-place before, when YHVH told Mosheh how to construct it so, remember it location within the outer court. It would be the first thing that one would see upon entering the outer gate with the multicolored curtain. Every facet of the construction of the Tabernacle reminds us, in some way, of the coming Messiah, Yeshua. It would be at the slaughter-place that we would enter the Outer Court, with out sacrifice in hand and we would set it before the High Priest for inspection. Upon approval we would place our hand on the head of the animal and with our own hand cut the throat of the animal. As we watched the blood run into a bowl we might remember the times that we watched our children play with this lamb or kid goat playing or gamboling about the yard. Verses 1-2A – I am not very smart but I do know that for any endeavor to be successful, you need to practice. We have read the descriptions of the objects multiple times just like the Children of Yisra’el must have heard it. Can you imagine following the Word of YHVH out of Mitsrayim, across the desert of Sinai, watching the Reed Sea part, manna fall from heaven, the column of fire and the column of cloud lead the way, 3,000 souls die because of their disobedience and to sit in camp and hear the gossip about what the Voice of YHVH told Mosheh to do and to finally, come to the point of everything being ready to put together for the first time, imagine the excitement. And when did all this take place? The first day of Aviv. Why is it so special to get the First of Aviv right? Because, it was our wedding rehearsal.
