Shemoth (Exodus) 38

Lesson date: 03/20/5856AA

Verses 1-7 – We have studied the bronze slaughter-place before, when YHVH told Mosheh how to construct it so, remember it location within the outer court. It would be the first thing that one would see upon entering the outer gate with the multicolored curtain. Every facet of the construction of the Tabernacle reminds us, in some way, of the coming Messiah, Yeshua. It would be at the slaughter-place that we would enter the Outer Court, with out sacrifice in hand and we would set it before the High Priest for inspection. Upon approval we would place our hand on the head of the animal and with our own hand cut the throat of the animal. As we watched the blood run into a bowl we might remember the times that we watched our children play with this lamb or kid goat playing or gamboling about the yard. Now, as the life blood drained into the bowl so, that its blood could be used to “Atone” or cover our sin Continue reading Shemoth (Exodus) 38

Shemoth (Exodus) 40 — Wedding Rehearsal

Lesson date: 04/05/5856AA

Verses 1-2A – I am not very smart but I do know that for any endeavor to be successful, you need to practice. We have read the descriptions of the objects multiple times just like the Children of Yisra’el must have heard it. Can you imagine following the Word of YHVH out of Mitsrayim, across the desert of Sinai, watching the Reed Sea part, manna fall from heaven, the column of fire and the column of cloud lead the way, 3,000 souls die because of their disobedience and to sit in camp and hear the gossip about what the Voice of YHVH told Mosheh to do and to finally, come to the point of everything being ready to put together for the first time, imagine the excitement. And when did all this take place? The first day of Aviv. Why is it so special to get the First of Aviv right? Because, it was our wedding rehearsal. Bereshith (Genesis) 1 — The plan of Salvation in Creation

Lesson date: 10/28/5854AA

Verse 1 – Gen 1:1 בראשׁית ברא אלהים את השׁמים ואת הארץ׃

בראשׁית = Bereshith

b = tent, house

r = head

=  strong leader, one who goes forward

s = eat, meditate, destroy

i = work, deed, strong arm, work of the hand

t = mark, sign, covenant

“The Son of the strong leader (El) goes forward to destruction (death) by His own hand to the cross.”

Bereshith (Genesis) 2 — “And He rested on the seventh day”

Lesson date: 11/5/5854AA

Verses 1-3 – Please remember that in Ber. 1:1 we discussed the fact that word 4 and 6 were Aleph/Tav H853. We discussed the prophetic nature of the placement of the words in that Yeshua came in the 4 millennium of Creation and will come again in the sixth millennium of the Creation Week.

In verse 1-2 we see the use of the word completed – H3615 – כָּלָה – kâlâh – kaw-law’ – A primitive root; to end, whether intransitively (to cease, be finished, perish) or transitively (to complete, The root word for H3615 is H3618 – ((Hold your breath!)) – H3618 – כַּלָּה – kallâh – kal-law’ – From H3634; a bride (as if perfect);

You could almost translate the first sentence in verse 2 as: And in the seventh day Elohim completed His Bride, perfect. It is a beautiful picture of YHVH taking His Bride in the 7th millennium.

Bereshith (Genesis) 3 — Who or what is the Nachash?

Lesson date: 11/12/5854AA

Please note in the Chapter 2 study guide I did not do verse 25. There is a reason for that. I believe that verse 25 and verse 3:1 are to be read together and here is the reason. The word used in verse 25 for naked is: H6174 – עָרֹם  עָרוֹם – ‛ârôm ‛ârôm – aw-rome’, aw-rome’ – From H6191 (in its original sense); nude, either partially or totally: – naked.

Now look at the word used for crafty in verse 3:1: H6175 – עָרוּם – ‛ârûm – aw-room’ – Passive participle of H6191; cunning (usually in a bad sense): – crafty, prudent, subtil.

The words are virtually identical. Put them side by side  עָרוֹם –  עָרוּם and see how nearly impossible it would be to tell them apart. This is a play on words that intricately links naked with crafty.

Bereshith (Genesis) 4 — Then it was begun to call on the Name of יהוה

Lesson date: 11/19/5854AA

((Please Note: What I am showing here is my opinion. I am by no means saying that it is the positively, absolute only way to read Chapter 4.))

Verse 1-2 – When people read verse 1 it seems very mundane. I argue that if you look at the Hebrew it is not mundane but rather exciting. The first part that we want to examine is “Gen 4:1  And Aḏam knew (*) Ḥawwah his wife, and she conceived and bore Qayin,”  (*) = H853?

Did this happen in the garden or after the garden? Remember that question.

“I have gained a man from יהוה.” What was she expecting? Look at the word “from”: H854 – אֵת – ‘êth – ayth – Probably from H579; properly nearness (used only as a preposition or adverb), near;

Bereshith (Genesis) 5 — What is in a Name?

Lesson date: 11/26/5854AA

Verses 1-5 – Man (Adam) was created in the likeness of YHVH. Notice verse 3 that Sheth was in the likeness and image of Adam, not someone else.

Verses 6-31 – The genealogy of the house of Adam:

Adam = man, mankind
Sheth = substituted, compensated, appointed
Enosh = mortal man, incurable (this is used in the connotation of dying for an incurable condition)
Qeynan = sorrow, song of sorrow,
Mahalal’el = blessed or praised + El
*Yered = descent, to come down
**Hanok = dedicated, devoted to instruction/teaching
***Methushelah = “his death shall bring”
Lemek = to be low or depressed
Noah = comfort and rest

Bereshith (Genesis) 6 — In the Days of Noah

Lesson date: 11/26/5854AA

Verses 1-2 Looking at verses 1 and 2 there are multiple ways of translating them. One is that daughters of Qayin were beautiful and the sons of Sheth married them. Many people will read these verses this way because they are afraid to admit that it directly ties in to verse 4.  Another way of looking at verses 1 and 2 are that the angels saw how beautiful the women were and left heaven to take human wives. But do we have any supporting scripture for this point of view?

Jud 1:6  And the messengers who did not keep their own principality, but left their own dwelling, He has kept in everlasting shackles under darkness for the judgment of the great day.

1Pe 3:18  Because even Messiah once suffered for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to Elohim, having been put to death indeed in flesh but made alive in the Spirit,

1Pe 3:19  in which also He went and proclaimed unto the spirits in prison,

1Pe 3:20  who were disobedient at one time when the patience of Elohim waited in the days of Noaḥ, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight beings, were saved through water,

Bereshith (Genesis) 7 — “Come into the Ark” or “Walking on the Water”

Lesson date: 12/03/5854AA

Verse 1 –  “Come into the ark.” Doesn’t this sound like an invitation? That is because it was. It also has the tone that YHVH was in the ark waiting for Noah and his family to join YHVH. The word for “come” is: H935 – בּוא – bô’ – BDB Definition: 1) to go in, enter, come, go, come in 1a) (Qal) 1a1) to enter, come in 1a2) to come.

But this is not all. My favorite meaning for this word is “to be brought in” like a bridegroom would carry his bride across the threshold. In Ber. 6:4 it is used to show that the Sons of Elohim had sexual relations with the daughters of men: when the sons of Elohim came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. As I look at Bereshith 7:1 I see YHVH inviting His people to the wedding feast of the Lamb.

Rev 22:17  And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And he who hears, let him say, “Come!” And he who thirsts, come! And he who desires it, take the water of life without paying!

The word for “come” in Greek used Ber. 7:1 is: G1525 – εἰσέρχομαι – eiserchomai – ice-er’-khom-ahee – From G1519 and G2064; to enter (literally or figuratively): – X arise, come (in, into), enter in (-to), go in (through).

The word used for “Come” in Hazon 22:17 is G2064 without the prefix G1519

Did you ask yourself why He extended this invitation to just 8 people? “because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.”
