Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 12 — Days of Separation and Yeshua

Lesson date: 6/2/5856AA

Verses 1-4 –  This chapter will help us to better understand what took place in the life of Yeshua. Once again, church doctrine has supplanted Yah’s Word. To better understand what Scripture is telling us we must look first at verses 1-4, then we must look to Luke 2:21-24 and then Sukkot. We have already looked at the dedication of the Temple by Solomon so, we do not have to review that but it will be worth reviewing what we talked about so that people will not be mislead by the “doctrine” of Hanukkah (Dedication) which has crept into Netzarim belief.

Tazria – “she is with seed” – comes from the root word “zara” – H2232 – to scatter, or sow seed, to conceive, give birth, offspring.

Niddah – H5079 – נדּה – niddâh – BDB Definition: 1) impurity, filthiness, menstruous, set apart 1a) impurity 1a1) of ceremonial impurity 1a2) of menstruation 1b) impure thing (figuratively) 1b1) of idolatry, immorality

****Please note: Niddah is a huge subject which we have not covered in detail but it is very important for understanding the teaching of separation. Believe it or not it is related to prophecy.**** Continue reading Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 12 — Days of Separation and Yeshua

Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 13 — Torah of Leprosy

Lesson date: 6/2/5856AA

Verses 1-2 – Torah of Leprosy. H6883 – צרעת – tsâra‛ath – BDB Definition: 1) leprosy 1a) in people, malignant skin disease (Lev. 13-14) 1b) in clothing, a mildew or mould (Lev_13:47-52) 1c) in buildings, a mildew or mould (Lev. 14:34-53)

Leprosy could be any skin infection up and including dandruff, eczema, psoriasis or any visible dermatitis. In buildings it would be mold or mildew.

Let’s look at the stages and see if this is all about skin problems or could it be more:
Verse 2 – The Outbreak – A scab or bright spot is visible – Isa 3:16 And יהוה says, “Because the daughters of Tsiyon are haughty, and walk with outstretched necks and seductive eyes, walking and mincing as they go, making a jingling with their feet,

Isa 3:17 therefore יהוה shall smite with a scab the crown of the head of the daughters of Tsiyon, and יהוה expose their nakedness.” Continue reading Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 13 — Torah of Leprosy

Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 14 — Torah for Cleansing Leprosy

Lesson date: 6/9/5856AA

Verses 1-7 – Chapter 14, for me, is the single most important chapter in changing my perception of Torah forever. I had a long standing riddle in the B’rit Hadasha and could not understand why a particular Scripture was included in Scripture and I was given the answer in Torah. Why YHVH chose to reveal it the way He did, I don’t know. Perhaps He knew that by doing so would make a lasting impression on me and thereby alter my appreciation or consideration of Torah in such a way that I would not take Torah lightly ever again. Even now I have a hard time expressing how it changed me but, it did. It definitely made me change my mindset about the B’rit Hadasha and how I would translate it.

For example, in verse 2 the priest had to go outside the camp to the leper. Why? Because the leper was not permitted in the camp. Continue reading Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 14 — Torah for Cleansing Leprosy

Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 15 — Once again my prejudice got the best of me!

Lesson date: 6../5856AA

It never ceases to amaze me how myopic my “spiritual” vision can be. I read, reread, and reread again and it is not until I quit reading and start listening that it dawns on me, my eyes are concentrating on just the words and not the intent. Somehow, the Father breaks through the fog or scales that are on my spiritual vision and I finally get a glimpse of what is really being said. Chapter 15 is a perfect example of my fleshly prejudice when reading a spiritual message.

Vocabulary (NOTE: This if for my benefit and if it accidentally helps you I am overjoyed.)

H2100 – זוּב – zûb – BDB Definition: 1) to flow, gush, issue, discharge 1a) (Qal) 1a1) to flow, gush 1a2) to die, pine away (figuratively) 1a3) to flow (of issue from woman), have an issue, flux 1a4) flowing (participle) Continue reading Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 15 — Once again my prejudice got the best of me!

Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 16

Lesson date: 06/22/5856AA

Verse 1 – This chapter starts with אַחֲרֵי מוֹת – aḥarei moth, which means “after the death.” Stop and think about it, Aharon’s sons, Nadab and Abihu, die in Chapter 10. Then Chapter 11-15 are about what to eat, Torah of Separation, Torah of Leprosy(of the skin), Torah of Leprosy(in the house) and other topics totally unrelated to Chapter 10 and 16. Right?

But is that really true? Why did Nadab and Abihu have to die?

Now, after going through 5 chapters of “how to be set-apart” it picks up after the death of Aharon’s sons and it gets really deep really quick.

Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 17

Lesson date: 7/1/5856AA

Chapter 16 taught how important blood was to make atonement for our sins, especially verses 9, 15 & 16. ((Compare to John 1:33-36)) Now, we see that killing an animal in field was equated to making offerings to demons. In our culture today many times the very first time we see any meat for food it is on a sesame seed bun. We are disconnected from the cycle of life and death in the preparation of our food and we have no idea under what conditions the animal died nor how it was prepared.

Day 25 in the Counting of the Omer
The Fifth Sabbath in Counting 7 Sabbaths

When I was in my single digits and early double digits, my Dad would me prepare for things that I would need to do while he was gone, perhaps to Japan, Brunei, Singapore or Lebanon, Saudi Arabia or Iran. If it was winter, he would explain and demonstrate what exactly I would need to do and conversely, if it was summer he would explain all my yard tasks and even show me how to repair the lawnmower if it broke. Demonstrating how to tap the bowl of the carburetor to get the float unstuck he hit it too hard and broke the bowl. After a second or two I looked at him and he at me and he said, “Don’t do it that way, do it the way I’m telling you. Don’t worry, I can fix that.” And, he did.

Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 19 — “Set-Apartness is our goal”

Lesson date: 7/8/5856AA

Continuing with the theme of the chapters since the death of Nadab and Abihu, “our refresher safety briefing”, we learn more of what we need to know to be set-apart so that we can serve our Creator.

Verses 1-2 – I am sorry for not emphasizing the first verse in many of these chapters and I want to do so now because something happens in this chapter that we don’t see very often. In verse one we see And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying, Isn’t that how we are still spoken to today, through Mosheh – Torah?

Vayyiqra (Leviticus) 20 — Scripture written for the world of 2020

Lesson date: 07/29/5856AA

Verses 1-5 – Sometimes when we read Scripture we think, “That is stupid for people to have done that”, or “I’m glad I did not live back then”. Well, verses 1-5 were written for the world of today more than any other time in history with the possible exception of ancient Cana’an.

Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 21

Lesson date: 03/16/5860AA

Lev_19:2 “Speak to all the congregation of the children of Yisra’ěl, and say to them, ‘Be set-apart, for I יהוה your Elohim am set-apart.

This is not a suggestion, it’s not an exhortation or a request. It is a Command. I can already see those little wheels turning, “But it is just for the priesthood, right?” 1Pe 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a people for a possession, that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light,

1Pe 2:10 who once were not a people, but now the people of Elohim; who had not obtained compassion, but now obtained compassion.

Well, obviously Kepha was writing to the Jews in Yerushalyim, right? Wrong:
