Debarim (Deuteronomy) 8 — Humility or Pride

Lesson date: 10/02/5857AA

Please forgive me if this offends anyone but there is a phrase in Arabic that speaks well to the subject of humility. It is not meant to be obscene but rather illustrative. It goes like this: “Humility, like virginity, is lost the first time it is used.”

This saying has its roots in the fact that many powerful men will claim to come from “humble” beginnings or to be humble in their lives. Many of these “humble” men live in multimillion dollar mansions and own one or more airplanes or jets. One of these humble men stated a year or so ago that if “Jesus were alive today He would have a jet”. The only record we have of Yeshu’a riding anything was a donkey’s colt.

Debarim (Deuteronomy) 9 — The Destiny of America

Lesson date: 4/29/5854AA

Verse 1 – Shama, O Yisrael – YHVH’s call, rather plea for us to return from serving false gods and to return to Him. Shama – H8085 – שָׁמַע – shâma‛ – shaw-mah’ – A primitive root; to hear intelligently (often with implication of attention, obedience,)

You are passing over(H5674)(H853) the Yardĕn today”

The word being used for “pass over” is ‘abar – H5674. This is not the same word used for passover which is pasach which is where we get Pesach. Continue reading Debarim (Deuteronomy) 9 — The Destiny of America

Debarim (Deuteronomy) 10 — Same Words, New Stones; Same Words, New Heart, or, “The Second Coming?”

Lesson date: 5/7/5854AA

Verse 1 – Central theme in the first exchange between YHVH and Mosheh was that YHVH did all the work: Exo_31:18  And when He had ended speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Mosheh two tablets of the Witness, tablets of stone, written with the finger of Elohim.

YHVH cut the stones and smoothed them out and then wrote upon them with His finger. In verse 1 of Deb. 10 Mosheh has to cut and smooth the stones himself.

In my own life I have noticed how easy it is to forget something if I have not written it out on paper myself. Just imagine how well we would remember something if we had to cut stones out of solid rock and then smooth them out as though they were the headstone of a grave. H6458 – פּסל – pâsalBDB Definition:1) to cut, hew, hew into shape. H3871 – לֻחַ    לוּחַ – lûach    lûachloo’-akh, loo’-akh From a primitive root; probably meaning to glisten; a tablet (as polished), of stone, wood or metal: – board, plate, table. These were not ordinary stones. Why not? Because these stones would be a witness one against us.

Debarim (Deuteronomy) 13 — Beware False Prophets! or, Identifying the Anti-Messiah

Lesson date: 5/28/5854AA

What does the menorah have to do with following false prophets? The center position is called the Shamash (Sun) Position, a.k.a. The Messiah Position, a.k.a. The Plumbline.

Mal 4:2  “But to you who fear My Name the Sun of Righteousness shall arise with healing in His wings. And you shall go out and leap for joy like calves from the stall.

Joh 1:1  In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with Elohim, and the Word was Elohim.

Joh 1:2  He was in the beginning with Elohim.

Debarim (Deuteronomy) 14 — Clean, Unclean, or who cares? or, Covenants

Verse 1- Deu 14:1 “You are the children of יהוה your Elohim” Stop and think about what this means. We are YHVH’s children!! What does it say in Numbers 6:27  “Thus they shall put My Name on the children of Yisra’ĕl, and I Myself shall bless them.”  He is our proud Father who brags about our obedience. Were you ever on honor roll? Did your Father brag about you being on honor roll? You bet He did. If we keep His Commands we are on His honor roll: 1Jn 2:3  And by this we know that we know Him, if we guard His commands.

Joh 14:15  “If you love Me, you shall guard My commands.

Joh 14:21  “He who possesses My commands and guards them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me shall be loved by My Father, and I shall love him and manifest Myself to him.”

Joh 15:10  If you guard My commands, you shall stay in My love, even as I have guarded My Father’s commands and stay in His love.  Continue reading Debarim (Deuteronomy) 14 — Clean, Unclean, or who cares? or, Covenants

Debarim (Deuteronomy) 15 — The Loving Bond Servant; Forgiveness, or The Sabbatical Year & The Key to Prosperity

Lesson date: 6/13/5854AA

Verse 1 – Debarim Chapter 15 and Wayyiqra 25 have changed my life the most since I became a believer. Why? Because these two chapters have shown me that YHVH does not count using a decimal or ten-based numbering system but rather a 7 based system: 7 colors of the rainbow, 7 musical notes, 7 days of the week/Creation, 7 days of Sukkot, 7 days of Unleavened Bread, 7×7 weeks of Shavuot, 7 lights of the Menorah, 7 pairs of clean animals in the ark, 7 visible moving celestial bodies, 7 seas, 7 continents and the first verse of scripture contains 7 Hebrew words.

בראשׁית ברא אלהים את השׁמים ואת הארץ׃ – Genesis 1:1

Let’s take a look at the word for seven (7): H7651 – שׁבעה / שׁבע – sheba‛ / shib‛âhBDB Definition: 1) seven (cardinal number) 1a) as ordinal number 1b) in combination – 17, 700 etc

Debarim (Deuteronomy) 16 — They are not holidays, but rather YHVH”s Holy Days! or, Abib/Aviv

Lesson date: 6/20/5854AA

Verse 1 – The first word is once again – shamar – H8104 and that is important but the second word is even more important because it now intensifies the meaning. The second word is את – H853, pointing to something prophetic in this passage and, I think everyone knows what that might be. When the Greeks translated the book of Revelation and saw that Yeshua called Himself the Aleph and the Tav they thought He was referring to the Hebrew aleph-bet and wrote alpha and omega, but He wasn’t. He was referring to all the times the Aleph Tav was supposed to have focused our attention to His coming in scripture. He was also identifying Himself as the (א) Urim and the (ת) Thumim, the Light and the Truth.

We see in Leviticus 23 that YHVH calls His Holy Days Sabbaths and for good reason: Continue reading Debarim (Deuteronomy) 16 — They are not holidays, but rather YHVH”s Holy Days! or, Abib/Aviv

Debarim (Deuteronomy) 17 — No Defective/Blemished Worship to YHVH, or “Coming out of Her 101”

Lesson date: 6/27/5854AA

We have talked about most of this before but Mosheh thought important enough to talk about again and I will not argue with Mosheh.

Verse 1 – An animal that has a blemish or defect is unclean for a sacrifice to YHVH that is why they are to be carefully inspected before slaughtering them. Whether it is a bull, goat, sheep or even pigeons or turtledoves, they must be whole, healthy and the best of the flock, herd or dovecote. They are still clean animals to eat but not to slaughter to YHVH.

H3971 – מוּם / מאוּם – m’ûm / mûm – BDB Definition: 1) blemish, spot, defect 1a) of physical defect 1b) of moral stain Continue reading Debarim (Deuteronomy) 17 — No Defective/Blemished Worship to YHVH, or “Coming out of Her 101”
