Verse 1 – Central theme in the first exchange between YHVH and Mosheh was that YHVH did all the work: Exo_31:18 And when He had ended speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave Mosheh two tablets of the Witness, tablets of stone, written with the finger of Elohim.
YHVH cut the stones and smoothed them out and then wrote upon them with His finger. In verse 1 of Deb. 10 Mosheh has to cut and smooth the stones himself.
In my own life I have noticed how easy it is to forget something if I have not written it out on paper myself. Just imagine how well we would remember something if we had to cut stones out of solid rock and then smooth them out as though they were the headstone of a grave. H6458 – פּסל – pâsal – BDB Definition:1) to cut, hew, hew into shape. H3871 – לֻחַ לוּחַ – lûach lûach – loo’-akh, loo’-akh From a primitive root; probably meaning to glisten; a tablet (as polished), of stone, wood or metal: – board, plate, table. These were not ordinary stones. Why not? Because these stones would be a witness one against us.
But why two stones? According to Charlton Heston and Cecil B. DeMille you had 5 words on one stones and 5 words on the other. How many times have you entered into a contract on a car, house, taken a class, gone into the military, gotten a job? All these require contracts, Words. You get a copy and the person into which you have entered into an agreement gets a copy. Why? Because if you break the contract the party of the first part, YHVH, can point to their copy and show you where you broke the contract.
So, what happened in verse two? YHVH instructs Mosheh to place the contract into the Ark of the Witness/Testimony/Covenant. Where is the Ark of the Covenant of the Church? In St. Peter’s Basilica? In the Crystal Cathedral? Dallas First Baptist? Perhaps the Cathedral of Notre Dame? Nope. There is no covenant with the ‘church’, just Yisrael: Gal 3:29 And if you are of Messiah, then you are seed of Aḇraham, and heirs according to promise. Not even Sha’ul believed there was a different covenant. People always blame poor ‘Paul’ for the New Covenant when it could not be further from the truth: 2Pe 3:15 and reckon the patience of our Master as deliverance, as also our beloved brother Sha’ul wrote to you, according to the wisdom given to him,
2Pe 3:16 as also in all his letters, speaking in them concerning these matters, in which some are hard to understand, which those who are untaught and unstable twist to their own destruction, as they do also the other Scriptures. Please remember this scripture. It is very central to this chapter.
The KJV in Exodus says: Exo 25:16 And thou shalt put into the ark the testimony which I shall give thee. The testimony is: H5715 – עֵדוּת – ‛êdûth – ay-dooth’ – Feminine of H5707; testimony: – testimony, witness. When Mosheh placed both copies of the contract into the ark it became a witness against us in the event that we broke the contract. It is very much like the IRS telling you that paying taxes is voluntary. You don’t have to pay them. But, if you choose not to pay them you go to jail, after they have ruined you financially. You don’t have to keep the Commands of Elohim but, if you choose not to you will have to pay the price for your disobedience. So, it is important to have a witness, actually two or more: Deu_17:6 “At the mouth of two or three witnesses shall he that is to die be put to death. He is not put to death by the mouth of one witness.
Deu_19:15 “One witness does not rise up against a man concerning any crookedness or any sin that he commits. At the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses a matter is established. I know what you are thinking; but where is the Ark of the Witness today? If the tablets of stone are in the ark we don’t have to worry about a witness against us, right? Wrong! Everything changed when Yeshua came. Case in point: Jer_31:31 “See, the days are coming,” declares יהוה, “when I shall make a new covenant with the house of Yisra’ĕl and with the house of Yehuḏah. When Yeshua came the contract was written on our heart. Where did this happen? Matthew 5 is our witness against us: Mat 5:18 “For truly, I say to you, till the heaven and the earth pass away, one jot or one tittle shall by no means pass from the Torah till all be done.
Mat 5:21 “You heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder,’ and whoever murders shall be liable to judgment.
Mat 5:22 “But I say to you that whoever is wroth with his brother without a cause shall be liable to judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raka!’ shall be liable to the Sanhedrin. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be liable to fire of Gehenna.
Mat 5:27 “You heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’
Mat 5:28 “But I say to you that everyone looking at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
Mat 5:31 “And it has been said, ‘Whoever puts away his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’
Mat 5:32 “But I say to you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the matter of whoring,1 makes her commit adultery. And whoever marries a woman who has been put away commits adultery.
Mat 5:33 “Again, you heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to יהוה.’
Mat 5:34 “But I say to you, do not swear at all, neither by the heaven, because it is Elohim’s throne;
Mat 5:35 nor by the earth, for it is His footstool; nor by Yerushalayim, for it is the city of the great Sovereign;
Mat 5:36 nor swear by your head, because you are not able to make one hair white or black.
Mat 5:38 “You heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth,’
Mat 5:39 but I say to you, do not resist the wicked. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.
Mat 5:40 “And he who wishes to sue you and take away your inner garment, let him have your outer garment as well.
In each instance, and there are more, Yeshua tells us what is written in Torah and then tells us it is not keeping Torah on the outside but keeping Torah on the inside, in the heart. Yeshua wrote the witness against us on our hearts and the ‘church’ did away with it. You don’t think that Yeshua doesn’t still have His copy? Think again: Rev 5:2 And I saw a strong messenger proclaiming with a loud voice, “Who is worthy to open the scroll and to loosen its seals?”
Rev 5:3 And no one in the heaven or on the earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll, or to look at it.
Rev 5:4 And I wept much, because no one was found worthy to open and read the scroll, or to look at it.
Rev 5:5 And one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. See, the Lion of the tribe of Yehuḏah, the Root of Dawiḏ, overcame to open the scroll and to loosen its seven seals.”
There is only one place you will find seven seals in Hebrew culture, a ketudah, a wedding contract, a wedding covenant, which took place at Mt. Sinai in Exodus 20 and following. Yeshua still has His copy because He is the Word. Rev 10:1 And I saw another strong messenger coming down from the heaven, robed in a cloud, and a rainbow on his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like columns of fire,
Rev 10:2 and having in his hand a little book opened. And he placed his right foot on the sea and his left foot on the land,
Rev 10:3 and cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roars. And when he cried out, seven thunders spoke their sounds. Here it is again. Yeshua is perfectly described in these verses of scripture.
Robed in a cloud – Act 1:9 And having said this, while they were looking on, He was taken up, and a cloud hid Him from their sight.
Act 1:10 And as they were gazing into the heaven as He went up, see, two men stood by them dressed in white,
Act 1:11 who also said, “Men of Galil, why do you stand looking up into the heaven? This same יהושע, who was taken up from you into the heaven, shall come in the same way as you saw Him go into the heaven.”
Rainbow on His Head – Rev 4:3 And He who sat there was like a jasper and a ruby stone in appearance. And there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance. Why was the rainbow set in the sky? Why is it on Yeshua’s Head? Because it is the central component of YHVH’s throne.
As when a lion roars – Gen_49:9 Judah is a lion’s whelp: from the prey, my son, thou art gone up: he stooped down, he couched as a lion, and as an old lion; who shall rouse him up?
Hos_5:14 For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.
Rev 5:5 And one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. See, the Lion of the tribe of Yehuḏah, the Root of Dawid, overcame to open the scroll and to loosen its seven seals.”
Heb 7:14 For it is perfectly clear that our Master arose from Yehudah, a tribe about which Mosheh never spoke of concerning priesthood,
Verses 4-5 – Mosheh placed the words in the ark, now our hearts, to testify against us.
Verse 6 – Remember I told you to remember 2 Peter 3:15-16? Here is why: יַעֲקָן Be‘eroth Benĕi Yaʽaqan – Strong’s H885 – from בְאֵר be‘er – Strong’s H875 = “a well or pit” and Benĕi Yaʽaqan – בְנֵי יַָעֲ קָן Strong’s H1142 = “sons of twisting” from the two words: בֵן ben – Strong’s H1121 – ‘son’ and יַעֲקָָן Ya‘aqan – Strong’s H3292 meaning, ‘let him oppress them’ and comes from the word עֲקָן Aqan – Strong’s H6130 meaning, ‘sharp-sighted’ and was a descendant of Ěsaw; and this name comes from the primitive root עָקַל
aqal – Strong’s H6127 meaning, ‘to bend, twist’. We have talked about this before. This departure point tells us that we do not want to ‘twist’ the Truth which is exactly what the ‘church’ has done. People have twisted the words of Sha’ul and done away with the first 39 books of the scriptures and even Yeshua’s own Words.
What happened at Moserah? Aharon died and his son El’azar took his place: H4149 – מֹסְרוֹת מוֹסֵרָה – môsêrâh môserôth – mo-say-raw’, mo-ser-othe’. Feminine of H4147; correction or corrections; Moserah or Moseroth. A correction took place. Aharon took the gold and shaped it into the golden calf and then lied about it: Exo 32:24 “And I said to them, ‘Whoever has gold, let them take it off.’ And they gave it to me, and I threw it into the fire, and this calf came out.”
Verses 7-8 – It is very interesting that from Moserah they moved to Gudgodah: H1412 – גֻּדְגֹּדָה – gûdgôdâh – gud-go’-daw By reduplication from H1413 (in the sense of cutting), slashing place. Why would they cut themselves? Exo 20:8 RememberH2142 the(H853) sabbathH7676 day,H3117 to keep it holy.H6942
Look at the word before Sabbath, H853, Aleph Tav, a prophetic marker. Then look at sabbath (H7676) comes from H7673 which in turn comes from H7651 – which means to seven oneself. In days of old they would cut themselves seven times in and oath or kill seven animals to confirm a covenant. Let me show you something: Gen 21:28 And AbrahamH85 setH5324 (H853) sevenH7651 ewe lambsH3535 of the flockH6629 by themselves.H905 Oops. There is that pesky H853 again right before the seven. What did Yeshua say about the sabbath? Mat 12:8 “For the Son of Aḏam is Master of the Sabbath.”
Mar 2:28 “So the Son of Adam is also Master of the Sabbath.”
Luk 6:5 And He said to them, “The Son of Adam is Master of the Sabbath.”
The Sabbath is the day that we are supposed to re-commit ourselves, to re-seven ourselves to YHVH. We renew our wedding vows each Sabbath.
After Gudgodah where did they go? To Yothbathah – From H3191 which means ‘pleasantness’. Is there a message here? A land of rivers of water: Joh 4:14 but whoever drinks of the water I give him shall certainly never thirst. And the water that I give him shall become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.”
Probably just a coincidence.
Verse 8 – Here is where YHVH separates out the tribe of Levi. Notice, Levi is not to have an inheritance on Earth because YHVH is the inheritance of Levi. They represent YHVH’s family.
The ketubah functions very much like a contract but actually it is a covenant. Most ketubahs have 5 parts:
- Combined lineage (bride and groom) family trees and anecdotes
- Bride’s personal history (family tree & anecdotes)
- Groom’s personal history (family tree & anecdotes)
- Their meeting (How and when the bride and groom met & anecdotes)
- Responsibilities A. Groom before; B Groom after; C. Bride before; D. Bride after)
Now let’s assign these parts of a ketubah names:
- Genesis
- Exodus
- Leviticus
- Numbers
- Deuteronomy
Now, we see that the Levites have a very important part in YHVH’s plan, they represent His family on Earth. We can’t do away with Torah because if we do we have no covenant!
Verse 10 – Mosheh intervenes on behalf of the Children of Yisrael so that YHVH does not destroy them for serving other gods.
Verses 11-13 – Do you see how Mosheh phrases the plea? He makes it sound like “All YHVH is asking you to do…” is keep Torah. Mat_11:30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.
That’s all.
Verses 15-16 – YHVH delighted only in our fathers; Abraham, Yitshaq and Ya’aqob: Gal 3:29 And if you are of Messiah, then you are seed of Aḇraham, and heirs according to promise.
We are not supposed to harden our necks. We are supposed to circumcise the foreskin of our hearts.
Verse 17 – YHVH is the Elohim of the mighty ones. He is the Elohim of the gods: Psa 82:1 Elohim stands in the congregation of Ěl; He judges in the midst of the elohim.
All my life I was told that ‘Christianity’ was monotheistic. It isn’t. It tells us right here that theere are other gods but we are not to serve them, just YHVH our Elohim.
Verse 18 – this verse says almost the same thing as Psalms 82: Psa 82:2 How long would you judge perversely, And show partiality to the wrong? Selah.
Psa 82:3 Give right-ruling to the poor and fatherless, Do right to the afflicted and needy.
Psa 82:4 Rescue the poor and needy; Deliver them from the hand of the wrong.
Verse 19 – Wake up! Here we are. We are the strangers who want to join ourselves to Yisrael. Lev_19:34 ‘Let the stranger who dwells among you be to you as the native among you, and you shall love him as yourself. For you were strangers in the land of Mitsrayim. I am יהוה your Elohim.
This is us. That is why Yisrael was rebuked and so was Peter because the Jews treated all others as though they were unclean animals, dogs. Act_10:17 And while Kĕpha was doubting within himself about what the vision might mean, look, the men who had been sent from Cornelius, having asked for the house of Shimʽon, stood at the gate,
Act 10:28 And he said to them, “You know that a Yehuḏite man is not allowed to associate with, or go to one of another race. But Elohim has shown me that I should not call any man common or unclean. What? Peter, are you sure? Didn’t He show you it was okay to eat pork, shrimp and catfish? Peter, go back and look at it again. Maybe you will see that all foods are clean. Reinterpret this dream for us, Peter. Please? Act 11:2 And when Kĕpha went up to Yerushalayim, those of the circumcision were contending with him,
Act 11:3 saying, “You went in to uncircumcised men and ate with them!”
Act 11:17 “So if Elohim gave them the same gift as He gave us when we believed on the Master יהושע Messiah, how was I able to withstand Elohim?”
Act 11:18 And having heard this, they were silent, and praised Elohim, saying, “Then Elohim has indeed also given to the gentiles repentance to life.” This is not about food, eating whatever we want. This is about eternal life.
Ahavah,

Verses 1-5 – How many times have we looked through Torah and found the First Coming of the Messiah? Now, I have to admit that we have also seen the Second Coming of Messiah in Torah and we have seen it very clearly or should I say, loudly. I believe that now is one of those times. Let’s look at Scripture and see if we can find it. To do that we must go back to Chapter 9 and look for clues: Deu 9:13 “And יהוה spoke to me, saying, ‘I have seen this people, and look, they are a stiff-necked people.
Deu 9:14 Leave Me alone, so that I destroy them and blot out their name from under the heavens, and make of you a nation stronger and greater than they.’
Deu 9:15 “So I turned and came down from the mountain, and the mountain burned with fire. And the two tablets of the covenant were in my two hands.
Deu 9:16 “And I looked and saw that you had sinned against יהוה your Elohim, and had made for yourselves a moulded calf! You had quickly turned aside from the way which יהוה had commanded you.
Deu 9:17 “And I took the two tablets and threw them out of my two hands and broke them before your eyes,
Deu 9:18 “and I fell down before יהוה, as at the first, forty days and forty nights. I did not eat bread and I did not drink water, because of all your sins which you committed in doing evil in the eyes of יהוה, to provoke Him.
Wow! There are a lot of things going on right now. I will try to arrange them in a logical sequence but I will probably miss.
Exo 17:6“See, I am standing before you there on the rock in Ḥorěḇ. And you shall strike the rock, and water shall come out of it, and the people shall drink.” And Mosheh did so before the eyes of the elders of Yisra’ěl.
Now compare the two: Num 20:7 And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,
Num 20:8 “Take the rod and assemble the congregation, you and your brother Aharon. And you shall speak to the rock before their eyes, and it shall give its water. And you shall bring water for them out of the rock and give drink to the congregation and their livestock.”
Num 20:9 And Mosheh took the rod from before יהוה as He commanded him.
Num 20:10 And Mosheh and Aharon assembled the assembly before the rock. And he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels, shall we bring water for you out of this rock?”
Num 20:11 Then Mosheh lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod. And much water came out, and the congregation and their livestock drank.
Num 20:12 But יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, “Because you did not believe Me, to set Me apart in the eyes of the children of Yisra’ěl, therefore you do not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”
Uh, oh. This sounds very serious. YHVH told Mosheh to strike the rock in the first instance but to speak to it in the second and that because he had failed to do as commanded, Mosheh could not enter the Promised Land. This must have been a very serious offense. This is very complicated and I hope that I can do it justice but, to do so we must look at the Hebrew.
As we have discussed in the past, the Rock was a type and shadow of the Messiah. Yeshu’a would come down to redeem His people but would be “struck” down and the second time Yeshu’a come as King of Kings and you speak to a King but you do not strike him. So, a sure sign that the Messiah would come again after being struck was lost on the people because of Mosheh’s anger at the people. He had endured all the aggravation that he could stand from the stiff-necked congregation. So, what about the tablets of stone?
Let’s look closely: Deu 9:9 “When I went up into the mountain to receive the tablets of stone, the tablets of the covenant which יהוה made with you, then I stayed on the mountain forty days and forty nights. I did not eat bread nor did I drink water.
Mosheh did not make the first two tablets of stone, YHVH did and, all Mosheh had to do was to receive them. Now, look at the second time: Deu 10:1 “At that time יהוה said to me, ‘Hew for yourself two tablets of stone like the first, and come up to Me on the mountain. And you shall make yourself an ark of wood,
We see that Mosheh is commanded to cut the two stones for himself. Mosheh has to take responsibility for his actions, fix what he has broken, in order that YHVH can write on the two stones. See? YHVH did all the work and gave us a covenant and Man, not YHVH, broke the covenant, symbolized by the stones and now, YHVH sends a Man to fix the covenant, to repair it so that YHVH can write the new covenant on two new tablets. Only, now, we still have the two tablets of stone but now the 10 Words have been written on our heart as well. What would you think if I could show you a shadow of things to come in the stones?
H68 – אבן – ‘eben – BDB Definition: 1) stone (large or small) 1a) common stone (in natural state) 1b) stone, as material 1b1) of tablets 1b2) marble, hewn stones
א – בן – ben = son; Aleph represents the beginning, as in Aleph Tav, “The first and the Last” or “The Beginning and the End”. And, in certain circumstances it can also represent 1,000. Isn’t that interesting?
Dan 2:45 “Because you saw that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and that it crushed the iron, the bronze, the clay, the silver, and the gold, the great Elah has made known to the sovereign what shall be after this. And the dream is true, and its interpretation is trustworthy.”
The stone (H69) was cut without hands, just like the first ones YHVH gave to Mosheh.
Psa 118:21 I thank You, For You have answered me, And have become my deliverance. (H3444)
Psa 118:22 The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief corner-stone. (H69)
Psa 118:23 This was from יהוה, It is marvellous in our eyes.
H3444 – ישׁוּעה – yeshû‛âh – BDB Definition: 1) salvation, deliverance
Act 4:10 let it be known to all of you, and to all the people of Yisra’ěl, that in the Name of יהושע Messiah of Natsareth, whom you impaled, whom Elohim raised from the dead, by Him this one stands before you, healthy.
Act 4:11 “This is ‘the stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief corner-stone.’
Act 4:12 “And there is no deliverance in anyone else, for there is no other Name under the heaven given among men by which we need to be saved.” (Yeshu’a = YHVH’s Salvation)
The stone, the son, that the builders rejected was Named Yeshu’a, Salvation – Deliverance. Yeshu’a came as a man so, a man could repair the breach that Man had caused by breaking the covenant and it was this “breaking or striking” that was exemplified by the first two stones which YHVH, doing all the work Himself so, that no man could say that they had a “hand” in it. Debarim Chapter 10 builds beautifully on Chapter 9. He did not send His Son because Man was righteous or worthy but because Man was unrighteous and unworthy and had broken His Covenant which He established with His People at Mt. Horeb: 1Ti 2:5 For there is one Elohim, and one Mediator between Elohim and men, the Man Messiah יהושע,
Yeshu’a came to bring YHVH’s Deliverance/Salvation, not His own. Remember, He came in His Father’s Name, not His own: Joh 5:43 “I have come in My Father’s Name and you do not receive Me, if another comes in his own name, him you would receive.
YHVH’s plan was so perfect when it was recorded in Bereshith 1:1 word 1 and now in Debarim 10 we see it being foreshadowed once again. What would you want to bet that the tree/cross/stake that Yeshu’a died upon was an acacia? If it wan’t, then I would be willing to bet that the wooden plague on which they wrote His Name was: Joh 19:19 And Pilate wrote a title too, and put it on the stake, and it was written: יהושע OF NATSARETH, THE SOVEREIGN OF THE YEHUḎIM.
ישוע הנצרת ומלך היהודים
Now look very carefully: Hey Vav Hey Yod
Read it from right to left. YHVH!
Now do you see why the chief priests tried so hard to get Pilate to change what was written. It spells YHVH, His Father’s Name: Joh 19:21 So the chief priests of the Yehuḏim said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘The Sovereign of the Yehuḏim,’ but, ‘He said, “I am the Sovereign of the Yehuḏim.” ’ ”
In the eyes of the chief priests, Pilate had undone everything they had tried to accomplish. In essence the Roman governor had made Yeshu’a synonymous with YHVH.
Verse 10 – Exo 12:34 And the people took their dough before it was leavened, having their kneading bowls bound up in their garments on their shoulders.
What is so important about us knowing about their mixing bowls? They just celebrated the Passover – Pesach and now are leaving on the Feast of Unleavened Bread. Is this important? Let’s just say that it took 10 days for the Children of Yisra’el to get to Mt. Horeb and set up camp and YHVH calls for Moshe to join Him on the mountain. What happens in 40 more days?
Here we see 10 + 40 = 50.
Act 1:3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering by many infallible proofs, being seen by them for forty days, speaking concerning the reign of Elohim.
Act 1:5 because Yoḥanan truly immersed in water, but you shall be immersed in the Set-apart Spirit not many days from now.”
Here we see 40 + 10 = 50 or, as it is said in Greek – Pentecost
Act 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Or more properly: Act 2:1 And when the Day of the Festival of Shaḇuʽoth had come, they were all with one mind in one place.
The Ketubah, the original wedding document was established between YHVH and His people on Shavu’oth and Yeshu’a came to reestablish on Shavu’oth. You cannot make this up. That is how exact and precise Yah’s Word Truly is!
Verses 13-16 – We are to circumcise the foreskin of our hearts. That is why Yeshu’a came, not to do away with the Torah but to write it on our hearts. He tried but men would not listen: Mat 5:21 “You heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not murder,’ and whoever murders shall be liable to judgment.
Mat 5:22 “But I say to you that whoever is wroth with his brother without a cause shall be liable to judgment. And whoever says to his brother, ‘Raka!’ shall be liable to the Sanhedrin. But whoever says, ‘You fool!’ shall be liable to fire of GěHinnom.
Mat 5:32 “But I say to you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the matter of whoring, makes her commit adultery. And whoever marries a woman who has been put away commits adultery.
Mat 5:33 “Again, you heard that it was said to those of old, ‘You shall not swear falsely, but shall perform your oaths to יהוה.’
Mat 5:34 “But I say to you, do not swear [vainly] at all, neither by the heaven, because it is Elohim’s throne; ((The word [vainly] is found in Hebrew in the Shem Tov.))
Mat 5:38 “You heard that it was said, ‘An eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth,’
Mat 5:39 but I say to you, do not resist the wicked. But whoever slaps you on your right cheek, turn the other to him also.
Yeshu’a so desperately tried to write it upon our hearts but we were so hard-hearted we would not listen and even claimed that He came to do away with Torah. Just like Mosheh said and harden your neck no more.
Verse 17 – Here we see another reference to the Divine Council – Elohim of mighty ones – or as it says in the KJV – God of gods
Verses 18-19 – Our charge. Even the other gods will be judged on this charge. ((Ps. 82))
Verses 20-21 – Fear (H853) YHVH, serve Him, cling to him
Fear – H3372 – to fear morally
Serve – H5746 – to labor for, to work for someone
Cling – H1692 – to cleave, to cling, to stick to, to hold fast ((Like Adam did Havvah – Ber. 2:24))
Swear – H7650 – to seven oneself, to repeat a declaration seven times.
Does the word for swear sound a little like sabbath? It should it is from the same root. Remember how to check your spiritual eyesight? Remember you want 20/20: Eze 20:19 I am יהוה your Elohim. Walk in My laws, and guard My right-rulings, and do them.
Eze 20:20 And set apart My Sabbaths, and they shall be a sign between Me and you, to know that I am יהוה your Elohim.’
H226 – אות – ‘ôth – BDB Definition: 1) sign, signal 1a) a distinguishing mark 1b) banner 1c) remembrance 1d) miraculous sign 1e) omen
((This is YHVH’s Mark. It will be on your hand and between your eyes – your forehead.))
Ahavah,
