Verses 1-2 – Verse 2 of Chapter 2 helps us understand one of the mistakes of the later translation of the B’rit Hadasha especially Hazon (Revelation): Rev 19:16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS AND MASTER OF MASTERS.

There are two problems with this Scripture from a point of view of Torah, first, Yeshua being the obedient son of the Most High Elohim would not expose His Thigh, because He would then be considered naked and, second, would not tattoo His body since Scripture prohibits tattooing.

Lev_19:28 ‘And do not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor put tattoo marks on you. I am יהוה.

Exo 28:42 “And make linen trousers for them, to cover their nakedness, reaching from the waist to the thighs.

H7272 – רגל – regel
H1714 –דּגל – degel

The difference between the dalet ( דּ )and the reysh ( ר ). The difference is noticeable today with fonts and block form letters but in ancient Yisra’el it may not have been so simple. Why bring it up now? Because the word in question “degel” means banner, flag, standard and is used here is Bemidbar 2:2 as banner. What makes more sense writing on on a flag or a thigh. Look again at Hazon 19:16 and also 19:13: Rev 19:13 and having been dressed in a robe dipped in blood – and His Name is called: The Word of יהוה.

Rev 1:13 and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Aḏam, dressed in a robe down to the feet and girded about the chest with a golden band.

If Yeshua was dressed in a robe down to his feet what is more likely to be seen, a thigh or a banner?

The Arrangement of the Camp of the Children of Yisra’el: East – South – West – North

East = H6924 – קדמה / קדם – qedem / qêdmâh – BDB Definition: 1) east, antiquity, front, that which is before, aforetime ((Think of it as “in the Beginning)) Deu 33:27 “The Elohim of old is a refuge, and beneath are everlasting arms. And He drives out the enemy from before you and says, ‘Destroy!’

Remember that Abram originated on the East side of the Euphrates River and that ancient civilization’s sin against YHVH took place there: Gen 11:1 And all the earth had one language and one speech.

Gen 11:2 And it came to be, as they set out from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shin‛ar, and they dwelt there.

Gen 11:3 And they said to each other, “Come, let us make bricks and bake them thoroughly.” And they had brick for stone, and they had asphalt for mortar.

Gen 11:4 And they said, “Come, let us build ourselves a city, and a tower whose top is in the heavens, and make a name for ourselves, lest we be scattered over all the face of the earth.”

Gen 11:5 Then יהוה came down to see the city and the tower which the sons of men had built.

Gen 11:6 And יהוה said, “Look, they are one people and they all have one language, and this is what they begin to do! And now, they are not going to be withheld from doing whatever they plan to do.

Who is on the East side: Yehudah – Yissakar – Zebulon:

Yehudah – praised
Yissakar – there is recompense
Zebulon – exalted

Praised is the Exalted One of Old, in whom we have Recompense.

South:

South = H8486 – תּמן / תּימן – têymân / têmân – BDB Definition: 1) south, southward, whatever is on the right (so the southern quarter), south wind : Here is a little exercise into the Hebrew mindset: Face East. On which side of your body is south?

Teman comes from the word – yamin – right arm. It also gives you an idea why this chapter started with the direction of East.

Who is on the South side: Reuben – Shimon – Gad:

Reuben – Behold a son
Shimon – heard
Gad – troop

On His Right Hand, Behold a Son, who Heard (the cry of His people) and comes with a Troop.

Exo 3:7 And יהוה said, “I have indeed seen the oppression of My people who are in Mitsrayim, and have heard their cry because of their slave-drivers, for I know their sorrows.

Rev 19:14 And the armies in the heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

West:

West = H3220 – יָם – yâm – yawm – From an unused root meaning to roar; a sea (as breaking in noisy surf) or large body of water; ((Author’s note: in the roar of the sea “chaos” is implied))

Who is on the West side: Ephrayim – Menashsheh – Binyamin:

Ephrayim – doubly fruitful
Menashsheh – causes to forget
Binyamin – son of the right hand

The Son of the Right Hand brought us out of the Sea/Chaos to be Doubly Fruitful, who Causes us To Forget (our sorrow). Job 11:15 then indeed you shall lift up your face without spot; and you shall stand firm, and not be afraid,

Job 11:16 because you would forget sorrow, and remember it as waters that have passed away,

((Or, Lost and forgotten like teardrops in the rain.))

Before I go any farther I want to point out that the lost 10 tribes of Yisra’el are represented by Ephrayim and Menashsheh: Mat_15:24 And He answering, said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Yisra’ěl.”

Think about this as a prophetic picture. Who is grouped with Ephrayim and Menashsheh? Here’s a hint: Rom_11:1 I say then, has Elohim rejected His people? Let it not be! For I also am of Yisra’ěl, of the seed of Aḇraham, of the tribe of Binyamin.

Php 3:4 though I too might have trust in the flesh. If anyone else thinks to trust in the flesh, I more –

Php 3:5 circumcised the eighth day, of the race of Yisra’ěl, of the tribe of Binyamin, a Hebrew of Hebrews, according to Torah a Pharisee,

The Son of the Right Hand reached out to the lost 10 Tribes of Yisra’el. The south side of the Camp of Yisra’el is missing two tribes and Binyamin is trying to call his brothers back to help him protect the south side. The south side was particularly vulnerable to attack from Egypt. We were redeemed out of Egypt, out of slavery: Exo 20:2 “I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery.

That is why YHVH starts out the 10 Words with: Exo 20:3 “You have no other mighty ones against My face.

Just like the Children of Yisra’el, I was lost in Egypt, worshipping other gods and did not even know the Name of my Deliverer: Exo 3:13 And Mosheh said to Elohim, “See, when I come to the children of Yisra’ěl and say to them, ‘The Elohim of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His Name?’ what shall I say to them?”

I had a god and his name was Jesus and I worshipped him and his old rugged cross. He became my Saviour and that is not what Scripture teaches: 2Sa 22:3  “My Elohim is my rock, I take refuge in Him, My shield and the horn of my deliverance, My high tower and my refuge. My Saviour, You save me from violence.

Psa 106:21  They forgot Ěl their Saviour, The Doer of great deeds in Mitsrayim,

Isa 43:3  “For I am יהוה your Elohim, the Set-apart One of Yisra’ĕl, your Saviour; I gave Mitsrayim for your ransom, Kush and Seḇa in your place.

Isa_43:11  “I, I am יהוה, and besides Me there is no saviour. <<<<<<<<<<<Very Important

Isa 45:15  Truly You are Ěl, who hide Yourself, O Elohim of Yisra’ĕl, Saviour!

Isa 45:21  “Declare and bring near, let them even take counsel together. Who has announced this from of old? Who has declared it from that time? Is it not I, יהוה? And there is no mighty one besides Me, a righteous Ěl and a Saviour, there is none besides Me. <<<<<<<<

Isa 49:26  “And I shall feed those who oppress you with their own flesh, and let them drink their own blood as sweet wine. All flesh shall know that I, יהוה, am your Saviour, and your Redeemer, the Elohim of Yaʽaqoḇ.”

Isa 60:16  “And you shall drink dry the milk of the gentiles, and shall milk the breast of sovereigns. And you shall know that I, יהוה, your Saviour and your Redeemer, am the Elohim of Yaʽaqoḇ.

Isa 63:8  And He said, “They are My people, children who do not act falsely.” And He became their Saviour.

Jer 14:7  O יהוה, though our crookednesses witness against us, act, for Your Name’s sake. For our backslidings have been many, we have sinned against You.

Jer 14:8  O Expectation of Yisra’ĕl, its Saviour in time of distress, why should You be like a stranger in the land, or like a traveller who turns aside to lodge?

Hos_13:4  “But I am יהוה your Elohim since the land of Mitsrayim, and an Elohim besides Me you shall not know, for there is no Saviour besides Me.

Act_13:23  “From this one’s seed, according to the promise, ****Elohim raised up**** for Yisra’ĕl a Saviour, יהושע,

1Ti_1:1  Sha’ul, an emissary of יהושע Messiah, according to a command of Elohim our Saviour, and of the Master יהושע Messiah, our expectation,

1Ti_2:3  For this is good and acceptable before Elohim our Saviour, <<<<<

1Ti_4:10  It is for this that we labour and struggle, because we trust in the living Elohim, who is the Saviour of all men, particularly of those who believe.

Tit_1:3  but in its own times has manifested His word through preaching, with which I was entrusted according to the command of Elohim our Saviour, <<<<<

Tit_2:10  not stealing, but showing all good trustworthiness, so that they adorn the teaching of Elohim our Saviour in every way.

Tit_3:4  But when the kindness and the love of Elohim our Saviour toward man appeared,

Jud_1:25  to the only wise Elohim, our Saviour, be esteem and greatness and might and authority, both now and forever. Amĕn.

Oops! Sorry! I got a little mad at myself for falling for the lie: 2Th 2:11 And for this reason Elohim sends them a working of delusion, for them to believe the falsehood,

2Th 2:12 in order that all should be judged who did not believe the truth, but have delighted in the unrighteousness.

North:

North = H6828 – צָפֹן  צָפוֹן – tsâphôn  tsâphôn – tsaw-fone’, tsaw-fone’ – From H6845; properly hidden, that is, dark; used only of the north as a quarter (gloomy and unknown): – north (-ern, side, -ward, wind).

Who is on the North side: Dan – Asher – Naphtali:

Dan – judge
Asher – blessed
Naphtali – wrestling

We are Hidden in our Judge, who has Blessed us and Wrestles for us.

To sum up:

East – In the Beginning was the Exalted Word, Who is to be Praised (John 1:1)

South – The Word became flesh and tabernacled Among us &  (John 1:14)

The Son of the Right Hand came to seek, save and redeem those who were lost

West – The Lost are called from the waters of Chaos, to Repentance, passing through the Waters of Deliverance and, (John 4:1-10)

North – the Remnant who hears, guards and does righteousness (the Commands) shall be Hidden in the day of Wrath of YHVH (Zeph. 2:1-3)
