Verses 1-5 – Sometimes when we read Scripture we think, “That is stupid for people to have done that”, or “I’m glad I did not live back then”. Well, verses 1-5 were written for the world of today more than any other time in history with the possible exception of ancient Cana’an.
As a young man I discovered in the 1970’s a white slave network operating in the Middle East which kidnapped children from all over the world and funneled them into slave markets in Amman, Jordan and the U.A.E. Some 2,500 American children, mostly young girls (ages 10-16), were trafficked into Amman for the sex slave industry. I subsequently learned that a similar market existed in Latin America. I naturally thought the practice was despicable. Children from all over the world being taken from the life of a child to being sex slaves. When I tried to expose the network I was reprimanded by the U.S. State Department because it was “The cost of doing business in the Arab world”.
Today, many watchdog groups estimate that somewhere between 500,000 and 800,000 children a year are kidnapped and sold into the sex slave trade in America alone. Many of these children are used in child sacrifice practices by the wealthy elite. Who are the wealthy elite? Politicians, bankers, owners of the world’s largest corporations and others.
Many children are terrified (to death) for the purpose of harvesting their blood for the abundance of adrenochromes, so that these evil people can drink the blood and even eat the flesh. Millions of unborn children die every year in China and the bodies are ground, dehydrated, and placed into gelatin capsules and sold worldwide so that the evil people of this world can hope to live longer lives. They, the unborn, are called the “fountain of youth”. Millions of children are aborted each year in America and have their internal organs harvested just for experimentation, stem cell research, flavor enhancers in food and beverages and also medicines, such as vaccines.
You are asking, “What does this have to do with verses 1-5?” A lot! H4432 – מלך – môlek – BDB Definition: Molech = “king” 1) the god of the Ammonites and Phoenicians to whom some Israelites sacrificed their infants in the valley of Hinnom
This is the “official” definition of Molek which is derived from H4427 – malak. In the tense that it is written Molek means “the one who rules over (you)” that is why I underlined “wealthy elite” above. How do they rule over us? They control the banking system, political parties, the justice system, the military and sadly the religious systems, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and Christianity. This is not speculation on my part but proven fact.
Even today, in a place called Bohemian Grove, there is open worship of a god named Moloch, an owl god, and many of America’s wealthy, famous, celebrities go there each year to “re-enact” the sacrifice of children in the burning hands of the bronze idol. In what primitive, backward, third world country is it found? Try 20601 Bohemian Avenue, Monte Rio, California, United States. Do your own research. Ever hear of “Holy Moley”? It is used in place of “Holy Mother of God ” and is derived from Molek.
Molek, Asherah, Istarte, Ba’al and sadly Yahweh are not dead and forgotten gods of the Cana’anites but are alive and well today in our holidays (holy days) speech and religious systems. Yahweh was a secondary Ugaritic god worshipped by the Cana’anites before the Children of Yisra’el went into the promised land. Yahweh would routinely get beat up by Ba’al. Millenia later, Yahweh would be worshipped by the Samaritans and through Samaritan Hebrew entered into the modern vocabulary thanks to works of Wilhelm Gesenius who is called “the father of modern Hebrew Lexicography” by Brown-Driver-Briggs.
I say all of this to impress upon you this: Ecc 1:9 What has been is what shall be, what has been done is what shall be done, and there is no new matter under the sun.

Notice the similarity between this verse and Lev. 20:1-6? Pass through comes from ‘abar – H5674 – to cross over, to change, to pass through and many other transitional phrases. It is the very basis for the word Hebrew used in Scripture. Abraham was to “cross over” the River Euphrates and get away from the Ugarit people and pagan god worship and transition into a “man of faith”: Heb 11:8 By belief, Aḇraham obeyed when he was called to go out to the place which he was about to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going.
Heb 11:9 By belief, he sojourned in the land of promise as a stranger, dwelling in tents with Yitsḥaq and Ya‛aqoḇ, the heirs with him of the same promise,
Look at what else is said about Abraham: Gen 18:19 “For I have known him, so that he commands his children and his household after him, to guard the way of יהוה, to do righteousness and right-ruling, so that יהוה brings to Aḇraham what He has spoken to him.”
We are being called out: Rev 18:4 And I heard another voice from the heaven saying, “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues.
Jer 51:6 Flee from the midst of Baḇel, and let each one save his life! Do not be cut off in her crookedness, for this is the time of the vengeance of יהוה, the recompense He is repaying her.
Jer 51:9 We would have healed Baḇel, but she is not healed. Let us leave her and each go to his own land, for her judgment reaches to the heavens and is lifted up to the clouds.
Jer 51:45 “Come out of her midst, My people! And let everyone deliver his being from the burning displeasure of יהוה.
Isa 48:20 “Come out of Baḇel! Flee from the Kasdim! Declare this with a voice of singing, proclaim it, send it out to the end of the earth! Say, ‘יהוה has redeemed His servant Ya‛aqoḇ!’ ”
We are being called out of the Babylonian system. We are being called to not cause our children “to pass through” or transition into good little Romans: Pro 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, Even when he is old he turns not away from it.

Verse 6 – A clear command not to consult, mediums, spiritists, “spiritual advisors”, life guides, astrology, etc. Why? 1Ch 10:13 Thus Sha’ul died for his trespass which he had trespassed against יהוה, because he did not guard the Word of יהוה, and also for asking a medium for to make inquiry,
1Ch 10:14 and did not inquire of יהוה. So He put him to death, and turned the reign over to Dawiḏ son of Yishai.
Verse 7 – Once again we are reminded to be set-apart – וְהִׁתְקַדִׁשְתֶם – vehithkaddishtem which comes from qadosh. (Sorry about the formatting problem with the Hebrew as I do not have a Hebrew keyboard.)
אֲנִׁיֹ יהוהֹ אֱלֹהֵיכֶם – aniy Yehovah eloheykem – I am Yehovah your Elohim. Amein!
Verse 8 – How do we become set-apart? We hear His laws, we guard them and we do them. 1Jn_2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
Verses 9-21 – Prohibition against sexual wickedness. Stop and think about examples of this you have seen in movies. No! I am not talking about porn movies but mainstream movies like Woody Allen’s “Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex” which depicts a series of men who fall in love with an ewe. “Stepmother” which depicts a teenager having an affair with his father’s new wife and eventually killing his father. The movie industry just announced a few weeks ago that any movie that wishes to be considered for an academy award must include LGBTQ characters. How many television shows and series include LGBTQ characters?
Veerses 22-26 – In verse 22 we once again see Guard and DO. How can we guard if we have not heard? We must hear and we must teach others so that they can guard and do. We must start with our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Then our other families and loved ones: Eze 44:23 “And they are to teach My people the difference between the set-apart and the profane, and make them know what is unclean and clean.
Eze 44:24 “And they are to stand as judges in a dispute, and judge it according to My right-rulings. And they are to guard My Torot and My laws in all My appointed times, and set apart My Sabbaths.
What happens if we do not? QOA(H6958) – to vomit – we will be vomitted out of the land. Are we in a struggle for our land today? Are there forces at work today that want to change our way of life and impose another? Why? Rev 3:16 “So, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I am going to vomit you out of My mouth.
Verse 24b – I am יהוה your Elohim, who has separated you from the peoples.
H914 – בָּדַל – bâdal – baw-dal’ – A primitive root; to divide (in various senses literally or figuratively, separate, distinguish, differ, select, etc.): – (make, put) difference,
Is there any distinction between us and the rest of the world? Do we appear different? Are we separate?
These are questions we need to ask ourselves. Was this just for “Old Testament” times? 2Co 6:17 Therefore, “Come out from among them and be separate, says יהוה, and do not touch what is unclean, and I shall receive you.
Lev 20:25a ‘And you shall make a distinction between clean beasts and unclean,
The word that is translated as “make a distinction” is once again “badal” above. If we do not separate ourselves voluntarily we will be separated later: Mat 13:49 “Thus shall it be at the end of the age: the messengers shall come forth, and separate the wicked out of the midst of the righteous,
Mat 13:50 and shall throw them into the furnace of fire – there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”
Mat_25:32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
How do we expect the angels to separate us out from the rest of the world if we look just like the rest of the world?
Eze 22:26 “Her priests have done violence to My teaching and they profane My set-apart matters. They have not distinguished between the set-apart and profane, nor have they made known the difference between the unclean and the clean. And they have hidden their eyes from My Sabbaths, and I am profaned in their midst.
Peter says it best: 1Pe 1:13 Therefore, having girded up the loins of your mind, being sober, set your expectation perfectly upon the favour that is to be brought to you at the revelation of יהושע Messiah,
1Pe 1:14 as obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts in your ignorance,
1Pe 1:15 instead, as the One who called you is set-apart, so you also should become set-apart in all behaviour,
1Pe 1:16 because it has been written, “Be set-apart, for I am set-apart.”

Have you ever thought what would happen if the World Wide Web shut down? The modern world, including this meeting would come to a halt. Remember, the Devil is in the details.

Consider that these two movies are old, from the 70’s and 80’s, a more conservative time in the annals of America history. Is it a coincidence that the organization that is responsible for the Academy Awards/Oscars just this year, has announced that it is facing financial failure with a $500 million dollar shortfall?
Norman Mailer, a former husband of Marilyn Monroe, published a book by the title of “Hollywood Babylon.” It was immediately banned in America because it bore private images of Mailer’s ex-wife, Marilyn Monroe, and pulled from circulation. It was reprinted 10 years later and warmly received. Think about that, it only took ten years for the morals of America to change that much.

Can you go to a street corner and openly preach out against the sin of homosexuality? What about child exploitation or abortion?

Poor, poor Sha’ul. He is, in my opinion, the second greatest Torah teacher in the B’rit Hadasha second only to the Messiah, and he is always being blamed for teaching against Torah. He would roll over in his grave to hear that. Look at the verse from II Corinthians not not “eat”? NO! Do not touch, period, what is unclean.
