Day 25 in the Counting of the Omer
The Fifth Sabbath in Counting 7 Sabbaths
When I was in my single digits and early double digits, my Dad would me prepare for things that I would need to do while he was gone, perhaps to Japan, Brunei, Singapore or Lebanon, Saudi Arabia or Iran. If it was winter, he would explain and demonstrate what exactly I would need to do and conversely, if it was summer he would explain all my yard tasks and even show me how to repair the lawnmower if it broke. Demonstrating how to tap the bowl of the carburetor to get the float unstuck he hit it too hard and broke the bowl. After a second or two I looked at him and he at me and he said, “Don’t do it that way, do it the way I’m telling you. Don’t worry, I can fix that.” And, he did.
Leviticus 18 is very similar to what my dad was telling me. It’s YHVH telling the Children of Yisra’el “Don’t do as you see other nations do when they worship their gods, Do as I tell you to do.” It is so easy to hear my dad’s words reminding me to “Do as I say do, not as I did”.
Verses 1-3 – This is not empty air so don’t disregard it because it is a very important statement, LOOK:
Exo 20:1 And Elohim spoke all these Words, saying,
Exo 20:2 “I am יהוה your Elohim, who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, out of the house of slavery.
1Pe 2:9 But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a people for a possession, that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light,
1Pe 2:10 who once were not a people, but now the people of Elohim; who had not obtained compassion, but now obtained compassion.
1Pe 2:11 Beloved ones, I appeal to you as sojourners and pilgrims, to abstain from fleshly lusts which battle against the being,
1Pe 2:12 having your behaviour among the nations good so that when they speak against you as evil-doers, let them, by observing your good works, esteem Elohim in a day of visitation.
This is YHVH’s bona fide statement. By Him uttering this phrase you know who your salvation (H3444) is, the one who brought you out of your pagan beliefs. This identifies Him in all His Esteem, as your Creator, as your Savior, your Redeemer, your Protector, your Strong Tower and your Rock!
Isa_43:11 “I, I am יהוה, and besides Me there is no saviour.
Isa_45:21 “Declare and bring near, let them even take counsel together. Who has announced this from of old? Who has declared it from that time? Is it not I, יהוה? And there is no mighty one besides Me, a righteous Ěl and a Saviour, there is none besides Me.
Hos_13:4 “But I am יהוה your Elohim since the land of Mitsrayim, and an Elohim besides Me you shall not know, for there is no Saviour besides Me.
This is why He Had to send His Son in His Name, not Jesus’ name but in YHVH’s Mighty Name, that is why the Name of Yehoshu’a is so important, so powerful, because it is YHVH’s Name – YHVH”s Salvation.
Verses 4-6 – Look closely at them, notice the similarity? What is the reason we are told to do the things in 4-6? Because our Father tells to do them – I Am YHVH!!!
Now, look very closely at Verse 4: Lev 18:4 ‘Do My right-rulings and guard My laws, to walk in them. I am יהוה your Elohim.
Deu 6:25 And it is righteousness for us when we guard to do all this command before יהוה our Elohim, as He has commanded us.’
Righteousness = Obedience
and
Obedience = Love!!!
It is just that simple.
Verses 7-8 – This is very important and very misunderstood in Scripture. Let’s look at an example: Gen 9:20 And Noaḥ, a man of the soil, began and planted a vineyard.
Gen 9:21 And he drank of the wine and was drunk, and became uncovered in his tent.
Gen 9:22 And Ḥam, the father of Kena‛an, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.
Gen 9:23 So Shěm and Yapheth took a garment, laid it on both their shoulders, and went backward and covered the nakedness of their father, but their faces were turned away, and they did not see their father’s nakedness.
Ham did not just see his father naked; chances are he was fully clothed if he just passed out. What happened is that while Noah is passed out, Ham goes in and has sex with his mother and this is the reason that his offspring, Kena’an, is cursed: Gen 9:24 And Noaḥ awoke from his wine, and he knew what his younger son had done to him,
Gen 9:25 and he said, “Cursed is Kena‛an, let him become a servant of servants to his brothers.”
Ham should have received the curse for his actions, but he did not, it would be the offspring of this act of incest that would be cursed, Kena’an, who did not even exist before verse 25. I have said many, many times that incest is one of the reason I call South Louisiana – Babylon. Incest is a huge problem and it is so destructive to YHVH’s family unit that He so many laws to protect.
Verses 9-17 – These laws are to protect the family unit, to not bring confusion into the family.
Verse 18 – When I read Verse 18 I think about the rivalry between Rachel and Leah and the heartache it caused for the rest of their lives, even resulting in Reuben losing his proper place as first born: Gen_35:22 And it came to be, when Yisra’ěl dwelt in that land, that Re’uḇěn went and lay with Bilhah his father’s concubine. And Yisra’ěl heard about it. Now the sons of Ya‛aqoḇ were twelve:
Verses 19-20 – Spoken of here but also in many other places. We have discussed the Niddah Laws before and the other sin here is adultery, whether the man committing the act is married or not, the woman is.
Verse 21 – Of course this is my opinion, but I belief it is the sin of which America is most guilty, causing a child to pass through to Molek. Molek -H4432 – comes from H4427 – which means to make rule or reign as king or supreme. Do you mean “supreme law of the land” or, as in this case Supreme Court?
How many millions of unborn innocent children died for the god of convenience, hedonism, because it became the “supreme law of the land”? Please let me state here; I am not referring to a situation where a child is taken because it is harming the mother and probably neither would survive, I can understand this need but how often would this occur?
Verse 22 – Sodomy – Legal in America.
Verse 23 – Bestiality – Legal in America (UCMJ) and the theme of a very popular book.
Verses 24-25 – The warning for America is beginning here. Notice the word used “vomited”; which means to “spue”. Can you think of another place in Scripture where the word “spue” is used? Maybe in a book about “end times”? Here is a hint: “vomiteth outH6958 (H853) her inhabitants.H3427”
Can anyone remember when the Aleph-Tav said that He would spue someone out of His Mouth?
Is the knowledge of the Alev-Tav important in Scripture?
Verses 26-27 – These things are not just sin, not just uncleanness the things are abominations which defile the land: 2Ch 36:19 And they burned the House of Elohim, and broke down the wall of Yerushalayim, and burned all its palaces with fire, and destroyed all its valuable utensils.
2Ch 36:20 And those who escaped from the sword he exiled to Baḇel, where they became servants to him and his sons until the reign of the reign of Persia,
2Ch 36:21 in order to fill the word of יהוה by the mouth of Yirmeyahu, until the land had enjoyed her Sabbaths. As long as she lay waste she kept Sabbath, until seventy years were completed.
Verses 28-29 – Here is the recipe for success or failure America
>>> Obey – Live; Disobey – Die
Verse 30 – This is an old argument: “Don’t worry, it’s legal.” Being legal does not make it lawful. Just because a man or group of men say it is legal does not make it lawful in YHVH’s Eyes. We must decide which we will do.
Ahavah vberakhot,
