Wayyiqra (Leviticus) 16

Lesson date: 06/22/5856AA

Verse 1 – This chapter starts with אַחֲרֵי מוֹת – aḥarei moth, which means “after the death.” Stop and think about it, Aharon’s sons, Nadab and Abihu, die in Chapter 10. Then Chapter 11-15 are about what to eat, Torah of Separation, Torah of Leprosy(of the skin), Torah of Leprosy(in the house) and other topics totally unrelated to Chapter 10 and 16. Right?

But is that really true? Why did Nadab and Abihu have to die?

Now, after going through 5 chapters of “how to be set-apart” it picks up after the death of Aharon’s sons and it gets really deep really quick.

Verses 2-6 – We have seen in the last three chapters how we are not supposed to approach YHVH and now we see the limitation placed on the High Priest. He must wear his Set-Apart garments and only go behind the veil one day a year and that is only on Yom Kippur and then only after sacrificing a bull as a sin offering and a ram for a burnt offering.

Verses 7-22 – Trying to find and easy way to divide this into a smaller grouping was very difficult because people have already been blinded by the deception of Hasatan. Two goats are taken from the flock and placed before Elohim. The high priest is unable to discern which is for YHVH, the oe and only true acceptable sacrifice to YHVH and the goat for Azazel, which is to carry the sins of the people in the wilderness to Azazel. Who is Azazel? Let’s look in 1 Enoch:

10.4 And further the Lord said to Raphael:    “Bind  Azazel  by  his  hands and his feet and throw him into the darkness.   And split open the desert, which  is  in  Dudael,  and  throw  him there.

10.5  And  throw  on  him  jagged  and sharp stones and cover him with darkness.    And let him stay there forever.  And cover his face so that he may not see the light.

10.6 And so that, on the Great Day of Judgment,  he  may  be  hurled  into  the fire.

10.7 And restore the Earth which the Angels have ruined.  And announce the restoration of the Earth.   For I shall restore the Earth so that not all the sons of men shall be destroyed because of the knowledge which the Watchers made known and taught to their sons.

10.8 And the whole Earth has been ruined by the teaching of the works of Azazel; and against him write: ALL SIN.”

Azazel was the fallen angel who taught mankind how to work metal and fashion it into implements of war and thereby shedding innocent blood.

Please be clear in this: it is impossible for mankind to distinguish between the true sacrifice for sin, the Messiah, and the false Messiah, or Anti-Messiah, without using the Urim and the Tummim, The Light(s) and the Truth(s), the Aleph and the Tav: Rev 1:11 saying, “I am the ‘Aleph’ and the ‘Taw’, the First and the Last,” and, “Write in a book what you see and send it to the seven assemblies of Asia – to Ephesos, and to Smurna, and to Pergamos, and to Thyatira, and to Sardis, and to Philadelphia, and to Laodikeia.”

Isa 41:4 “Who has performed and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? ‘I, יהוה, am the first, and with the last I am He.’ ”

Isa 44:6 “Thus said יהוה, Sovereign of Yisra’ěl, and his Redeemer, יהוה of hosts, ‘I am the First and I am the Last, besides Me there is no Elohim.

Rev_19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “See, do not do it! I am your fellow servant, and of your brothers who possess the witness of יהושע. Worship Elohim! For the witness of יהושע is the spirit of prophecy.”

The first goat was the one found to be acceptable and could be sacrificed to make an atonement for the sins of the people. The other goat, the one called the Azazel goat, was sent off into the wilderness to bear the crookedness of the people so that all sin would be ascribed to Azazel. Hasatan has everyone thinking that this is the good goat because this goat escaped death, hence the term “scapegoat” when in actuality that goat must bear the crookedness of the people all of its days.

Today, in our world, the spirit of delusion is here, just as it was in the days of Yohannan the Apostle when he wrote about it: 1Jn 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour. And as you have heard that the anti-messiah is coming, even now many anti-messiahs have come. This is how we know that it is the last hour.

1Jn 2:22 Who is the liar, except the one denying that יהושע is the Messiah? This is the anti-messiah, the one denying the Father and the Son.

1Jn 4:3 and every spirit that does not confess that יהושע Messiah has come in the flesh is not of Elohim. And this is the spirit of the anti-messiah which you heard is coming, and now is already in the world.

2Jn 1:7 Because many who are leading astray went out into the world who do not confess יהושע Messiah as coming in the flesh. This one is he who is leading astray and the anti-messiah.

It is very interesting that Yohannan was the only writer to use this term. Yeshua on the other hand used a different term in Matthew 24: Mat 24:24 “For false messiahs and false prophets shall arise, and they shall show great signs and wonders, so as to lead astray, if possible, even the chosen ones.

False messiahs = pseudo + christos = G5580 – ψευδόχριστος – pseudochristos

False prophets = pseudo + prophetes = G5578 – ψευδοπροφήτης – pseudoprophētēs

Pseudo can and does mean: lying, deceitful, sham, apparently similar (looks similar) false.

One more time I am warning against the idea that mochiach (in Hebrew) and christos (in Greek) only means messiah. Both of these terms mean annointed and are inferred to mean messiah. That is why there is such a huge misunderstanding about what Daniel wrote about in Daniel 9 and in other places in Scripture where the term moshiach or mashiach is used. Yeshua is YHVH’s Annointed and therefore He is the Messiah.

Please take the warning to heart that without the Truth and the Light we will not be able to discern the difference between the True Messiah and the pseudo messiah:  Joh 14:6 יהושע said to him, “I am the Way, and the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

Joh 9:5 “While I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Joh 12:46 “I have come as a light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me should stay in darkness.

In verse 15 the High Priest (Aharon) would slay the acceptable goat, which is the sin offering for the people, and use its blood to set-apart everything in the Tent of Appointment and even outside the tent to include the bronze altar. The blood of the goat to YHVH is antonement for the people’s sins. Something this is often missed is that the goat in Hebrew thinking is the acceptable substitute offering: Gen 22:12 And He said, “Do not lay your hand on the boy, nor touch him. For now I know that you fear Elohim, seeing you have not withheld your son, your only son, from Me.”

Gen 22:13 And Aḇraham lifted his eyes and looked and saw behind him a ram caught in a bush by its horns, and Aḇraham went and took the ram and offered it up for an ascending offering instead of his son.

Gen 22:14 And Aḇraham called the name of the place, ‘יהוהYireh,’ as it is said to this day, “On the mountain יהוה provides.”

And, here is the part  that is most often missed: H352 – איל – ‘ayil – BDB Definition: 1) ram 1a) ram (as food) 1b) ram (as sacrifice) 1c) ram (skin dyed red, for tabernacle) 2) pillar, door post, jambs, pilaster

3) strong man, leader, chief 4) mighty tree, terebinth

Do you see it? Here is a hint: Isa 61:1 The Spirit of the Master יהוה is upon Me, because יהוה has anointed Me to bring good news to the meek. He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim release to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound,

Isa 61:2 to proclaim the acceptable year of יהוה, and the day of vengeance of our Elohim, to comfort all who mourn,

Isa 61:3 to appoint unto those who mourn in Tsiyon: to give them embellishment for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. And they shall be called trees of righteousness, a planting of יהוה, to be adorned. The word used here for tree is “ayil”. ((I bet if you look real hard you can find a parallel to this in Matthew 5.))

Where else do we see it? Psa 1:1 Blessed is the man who shall not walk in the counsel of the wrong, And shall not stand in the path of sinners, And shall not sit in the seat of scoffers,

Psa 1:2 But his delight is in the Torah of יהוה, And he meditates in His Torah day and night.

Psa 1:3 For he shall be as a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That yields its fruit in its season, And whose leaf does not wither, And whatever he does prospers. ((The word “Planted” means firmly fixed, established.))

The acceptable sacrifice for sin in the Passover can be a lamb or a kid goat, but the acceptable sacrifice for the Day of Atonement is a goat, specifically a ram – ”ayil”.

In verses 21-22 – we have a clue as to the first coming of the Messiah and one of the tasks He has to accomplish: Lev 16:21 …and shall send it away into the wilderness by the hand of a fit man.

Lev 16:22 “And the goat shall bear on itself all their crookednesses, to a land cut off. Thus he shall send the goat away into the wilderness.

The key word is “fit”: H6261 – עתּי – ‛ittı̂y – BDB Definition: 1) timely, ready

This “fit” man had to come at the proper time and when is that? Look in 1 Enoch: 10.11 And the Lord said to Michael: “Go, inform Semyaza, and the others with him, who have associated with the women to corrupt themselves with them in all their uncleanness.

10.12  When  all  their  sons  kill  each other, and when they see the destruction of their loved ones, bind them for seventy generations, under the hills of the earth, until the day of their judgment and of their consummation, until the judgment, which is for all eternity, is accomplished.

10.13 And in those days, they will lead them to the Abyss of Fire; in torment, and in prison they will be shut up for all eternity.

10.14 And then Semyaza will be burnt, and from then on destroyed with them; together  they  will  be  bound  until  the end of all generations

Yeshua was this “fit” man whose timely coming fulfilled this prophecy.

1Pe 3:18 Because even Messiah once suffered for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to Elohim, having been put to death indeed in flesh but made alive in the Spirit,

1Pe 3:19 in which also He went and proclaimed unto the spirits in prison,

1Pe 3:20 who were disobedient at one time when the patience of Elohim waited in the days of Noaḥ, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight beings, were saved through water,

What made Him so timely? He was the seventieth generation.

Yeshua (77)
Son of YHVH
Second Adam (Generation 77)

77-7 = 70

The prophecy was given to Enoch, who was the seventh from Adam (Jude 1:14) to be given to the angels to show them what their punishment would be for their wickedness.

Remember this? Ezr_2:63 And the governor said to them that they should not eat of the most set-apart gifts until there stood up a priest with the Urim and Tummim.

Neh_7:65 And the governor said to them that they should not eat of the most set-apart gifts until a priest stood up with the Urim and Tummim.

As noted above at the bottom of page two we have access to the Urim and Tumim and He is our High Priest: Heb 8:1 Now the summary of what we are saying is: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Greatness in the heavens,

Heb 8:2 and who serves in the set-apart place and of the true Tent, which יהוה set up, and not man.

Verses 23-34 – In verse 4 Aharon had to put on the linen garments and now, in verse 23, he has to take them off. Also, the one who sent the goat off to Azazel has to take off his garments and wash his garments and his body, as does the one who actually burns the bodies of the bull and the goat. All of this has to be done before they can reenter the camp.

You are probably thinking, “Okay Daryl, what is the big deal?” Right? Yeshua took off His heavenly garments and put on the garments of a servant. He has clothed Himself in the garments of our High Priest. Before He leaves the Set-Apart Place in the Heavens He will change His garments again and come as King of Kings: Rev 19:11 And I saw the heaven opened, and there was a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Trustworthy and True, and in righteousness He judges and fights.

Rev 19:12 And His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns, having a Name that had been written, which no one had perceived except Himself –

Rev 19:13 and having been dressed in a robe dipped in blood – and His Name is called: The Word of יהוה.

Rev 19:14 And the armies in the heaven, dressed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

Rev 19:15 And out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should smite the nations. And He shall shepherd them with a rod of iron. And He treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Ěl Shaddai.

Rev 19:16 And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written: SOVEREIGN OF SOVEREIGNS AND MASTER OF MASTERS.

Yom Kippur, in verses 29-31, is the purification of the Bride. It is called the Day of Atonement in English and that is not an accident. Atone = At + One (with YHVH) and Atonement = At + One + Mend = reparing or mending the breach between YHVH and mankind.

Yeshua redeemed us with a bride price, which He paid in full. This brought us out of Egypt (Mystery Religion) and many, unknowingly, are running around proclaiming themselves “saved”. We are not saved we are redeemed and we can NOW have a relationship with our Father by the willing sacrifice made by our Brother. Before we had no covenant with our Father. We were gentiles, pagans, heathens. The “church” wrongly believes it replaced Israel but as Sha’ul tries to explain, in Romans 11, to the “church” is that they were given an invitation to join Israel. There is only one covenant that brings salvation and that is the covenant made with Abraham.

We are going into the seventh month in roughly one week. (I know, it was just a coincidence.) After that Yom Kippur, where the Bride prepares herself for the Wedding Feast by washing in Mayyim Chayyim, Living Water and our garments in the Blood of the Lamb. Without this preparation we want have on suitable wedding garments: Mat 22:11 “And when the sovereign came in to view the guests, he saw there a man who had not put on a wedding garment,

Mat 22:12 and he said to him, ‘Friend, how did you come in here not having a wedding garment?’ And he was speechless.

Mat 22:13 “Then the sovereign said to the servants, ‘Bind him hand and foot, take him away, and throw him out into the outer darkness – there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’

If we do not set ourselves apart by keeping our Father’s Torah we will look just like the pagans, heathens and gentiles, unrecognizable to our Father.

The is much more and we will talk about it if we have time.

Ahavah,

It is very interesting that Yohannan was the only writer to use this term.

Yeshu’a was this “fit” man whose timely coming fulfilled this prophecy.

This is the “proof” that I mentioned in our discussion of the Fallen Angels and the Nephilim:

Yeshua (77)

You are probably thinking, “Okay, what is the big deal?” Right? Yeshu’a took off His heavenly garments and put on the garments of a servant.

Atone = At + One (with YHVH) and Atonement = At + One + Mend = repairing or mending the breach between YHVH and mankind.

Yeshu’a redeemed us with a bride price, which He paid in full. (Gal 3:26-29)

The modern church has the attitude of, “I walked down the aisle when is was “X” number of years old so I am good and don’t have to worry about anything”. Without the proper preparation we want have on suitable wedding garments: Mat 22:11 “And when the sovereign came in to view the guests, he saw there a man who had not put on a wedding garment,
